The first time

こんばんは、中西です！

Good evening, it’s Nakanishi!

今日、実は私のパパが初めて公演を観に来てくれました！

Today, actually my papa kindly came to see the stage performance for the first time!

AKBに入るとき一番私を心配して反対したのは父でした。

When I entered AKB the one who was most worried about me and against it was dad.

そんなお父さんも今ではSKEのことが大好きになって、5年目にしてこうして初めて観に来てくれてなんだかとても感慨深い気持ちになりました。

And that dad has since come to love SKE now, and within these 5 years, like this, he has kindly come to watch me for the first time, I kinda started having these deep and strong emotional feelings.

父に公演を観に来てもらうことは私の目標の一つだったので本当に嬉しかったのです！

To get my dad to come to see me at a stage was one of my goals so I was really happy!

Part of the reason why everyone who watches Hapi Hori loves it is because of nuggets of information like that… and talks about how Papa-matsu made 78 in a round of golf and both Papa-rin and Papa-nishi were really impressed and wanted to golf together.  And things like Shii-tan’s interactions with Granddad-matsu, Mama-matsu’s mails to Nishishi, Nishi’s tsundere younger sister stories, and Hiramatsu’s brothers’ stories and Ani-rin’s adventures…  It’s truly a feeling of family, even beyond the SKE family.  I should stop here before I start crying again.

… well, I’m crying, ha ha.

I’ve been trying to find information on Nishishi’s dad for awhile, since she blogs about her mom and siblings from time to time. I know that he was very, very opposed to her auditioning for AKB, mostly because of the commute, I think… so the fact that he went to the theater…. really stirs up feelings in me, too. ;;; w;;; Papa-nishi…
